Long after the last statuette had been handed out, the good and the great of Hollywood kept the Oscars buzz alive by celebrating the biggest night of the year at Oscar bashes around town.

Flying the flag for Britain at her pal Elton John's party was singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham. The elegant mum-of-three wore one of her own designs – a one-shoulder nude hued silk column dress with a fine square print across the front.

Posh spent time catching up with host Elton before sitting down to dinner with model mum Heidi Klum who was showing off her stunning post-baby figure in a super-short black minidress with beaded embellishments around the hem and neck.

And Heidi wasn't the only star displaying a super slim physique at the bash. Kelly Osbourne's dramatic weight loss was apparent as she made a stunning appearance with mum Sharon.

Others at the glitzy party included Katie Price – super polished in a sparkling blue gown – and Simon Cowell. The X Factor mogul made his red carpet debut with rumoured fiancée Mezghan Hussainy at the party.

Of course Elton's bash wasn't the only place for VIPs to kick up their heels. The Vanity Fair party also got into in full swing, attracting the likes of Hilary Swank, P Diddy and Salma Hayek.

Kristen Stewart attended too. The Twilight beauty, minus her other half Robert Pattinson, was spotted deep in conversation with both Jodie Foster – former co-star from her first Hollywood film Panic Room - and Julianne Moore.
