'Pancakes for everyone!' Brad is flippin' happy
Even after decades in the job, Brad Pitt still gets a rush on Oscar nomination morning – a sugar rush to be precise.
After his films Moneyball, and Tree of Life, were nominated in two coveted categories, the excitement in the Jolie-Pitt household was tangible.
"I've been up since 5am," the Hollywood heavyweight told the Today show on Tuesday morning.
"Now, I see my six maniacs waking up and I got to get them ready for school and make breakfast. I tell you, it's going to be pancakes for everyone this morning".
"I'm gonna get them all sugared up for school, and turn them loose".
As well as the treats for the children, there were sweet words for his colleagues and fellow nominees.
The heart-throb will face off against his friend George Clooney in the Best Actor category – but Brad couldn't be happier.
"It’s more fun to have a friend there, and no one does it better than George," he said of The Descendants actor.
"I say give him all the trophies, and when you run out of trophies, make some new ones and give him those, too!"
The actor also said he was "so happy" that his Moneyball co-star Jonah Hill appears on the shortlist for his supporting role in the movie.
