HELLO! Online's guide to the glitzy Oscars afterparties

The fun doesn't end when the final gold trophy is presented at the Oscars on Sunday night. Exclusive A-list soirees all over LA will follow the star-studded 85th Academy Awards, when Hollywood's finest comes together in celebration of the year's best films, actors and directors.

Here is your guide to the top A-list bashes:



The Governor's Ball

Venue: The Academy's official afterparty takes place in the Grand Ballroom on the top floor of the Hollywood & Highland shopping centre
Who goes?: Winners, nominees and this year's host Seth MacFarlane
Most memorable moment: Grammy and Emmy award winner Tony Bennett took the stage to serenade the winners last year
Food: Chef to the stars Wolfgang Puck will cater for the 19th year in a row, showcasing over 50 uniquely created dishes

Sir Elton John and David Furnish

Venue: Elton's afterparty, which is in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, takes place in West Hollywood Park
Who goes?: Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, Chase Crawford, Miley Cyrus, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry and Kate Beckinsale
Most memorable moment: Last year Elton John's 14-month-old son Zachary joined in the celebrations of watching the Oscars ceremony in a separate area for Elton's nearest and dearest
Food: Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is creating the mouth-watering menu

Vanity Fair

Venue: The Sunset Tower Hotel
Who goes?: Tom Cruise, Elton John, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Seth MacFarlane, Natalie Portman, Sandra Bullock, Tom Ford and Vera Wang
Most memorable moment: Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber officially confirmed they're a couple by walking the carpet together two years ago
Food: The magazine's legendary party is incredibly exclusive, taking place every year for the last 20 years, so we imagine the food offerings will be classic, dainty bites perfect for the starry guestlist


Venue: Madonna's sixth Oscars afterparty will take place at her manager Guy Oseary's home. The private affair with a very selective guestlist kicks off well into the night 
Who goes?: Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio, Salma Hayek, Jessica Chastain, Gwen Stefani, Jack Nicholson, Naomi Watts
Most memorable moment: Star guests receive Gucci goodies 
Food: Last year Gucci sponsored the Material Girl's afterparty, flying in a Florentine artisan especially. Attending guests not only received signature pieces of Gucci luggage, but their initials were also hand-embossed on their gifts, so if that's anything to go by we can only imagine what the culinary delights will include...

Miramax co-founder Harvey Weinstein

Venue: Soho House on Sunset Boulevard
Who goes?: Meryl Streep, Bar Refaeli, Bradley Cooper, Olivia Munn, and many others
Most memorable moment: The Artist's canine star Uggie donned a diamond Chopard collar worth £120,000 – and was accompanied by three bodyguards
Food: Last year Grey Goose sponsored the celebrity-favourite celebration, so that may well be on the menu once again this year

Seth MacFarlane

Venue: A private West Hollywood Location
Who goes?: 500 guests will party well into the night
Most memorable moment: Two years ago, the Family Guy creator performed with a big band at Hollywood Domino
Food: The Oscars' presenter is bringing a 70-piece orchestra to his afterparty, so guests can enjoy food while listening to live music
