The biggest awards show of the year is finally here. And Hollywood's finest far from disappointed with a glamorous show of beautiful designer dresses and dazzling diamonds.

Pregnant Olivia Wilde was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet, showing off her baby bump in a stunning, high-neck Valentino gown.

Amy Adams followed shortly after, wowing in a strapless, navy blue column gown by Italian designer Gucci. The star paired her simple yet chic dress with an elegant, slicked-back updo that she revealed was "because of the rain. I have a lot of hair and it's very humid so I had to tie back!".

It soon became clear that white was set to be a big trend after Maria Menounos and Portia de Rossi stepped out in ivory creations, designed by Johanna Johnson and Neem Khan, respectively.

Also in white was Kelly Osbourne, who looked incredible in bridal Badgely Mischka that clashed with her violet hair.

Kelly took to Twitter to ask her fans their opinion on her gown. "What do you think of my #Eredcarpet #Oscars dress I love love it somuch thank you @BadgleyMischka I love you guys!," she tweeted.

Kristen Bell was also wearing ivory, sparkling in a Jessica McClintock number.

Adding a splash of colour to the red carpet was Viola Davis, who rocked a satin emerald green Escada creation.
