There was an audible gasp as Lupita Nyong'o stepped onto the red carpet at this year's Oscars.
The actress looked showstopping in a custom-made, Nairobi blue Prada gown with a plunging neck and backline.
With its empire line fit, flowing chiffon and gentle pleats, the gown oozed femininity.
The Twelve Years A Slave star kept accessories to a minimum, wearing a gold bangle and dazzling diamond earrings. A simple gold and diamond headband topped off the look.
It was a hugely successful night for the actress, who took home the Best Supporting Actress award. Lupita held back tears as she accepted her award in an emotional speech.
The headband, earrings and bracelet were all from Fred Leighton.
Speaking about her Prada gown, she said, "It's a blue that reminds me of Nairobi, and so I wanted to have a little bit of home." #Nairobiblue started trending on Twitter shortly afterwards.
