Shunning her recent love of neutral colours, Kim Kardashian opted for high-octane glamour as she attended Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday night.

The reality TV star turned heads in a plunging scarlet satin ball gown. She ramped up the glamour factor even further with bright red lipstick.

Kim took to Twitter to give her fans a glimpse of her sexy look. "Sneak peek Oscar party glam Dress- Celia Kritharioti. Jewels-Lorraine Shwartz," she wrote alongside a selfie.

Also wearing red was Kim's younger sister Khloe, who sported a velvet wrap gown and a deep berry lip.

They attended the annual party with older sister Kourtney. The pretty brunette was channelling androgynous chic in a black tuxedo and white shirt with a pussybow tie.

The girls' mother Kris, meanwhile, looked just as glamorous in a dramatic black lace dress.

At the star-studded bash, the Kardashian clan rubbed shoulders with fellow famous faces Heidi Klum, Britney Spears and Karolina Kurkova.

Heidi showed off her supermodel physique in a black, sequinned and embellished strapless gown with a fishtail hemline.

Britney rocked a daring dress with a deep v-neckline and sheer panels. A black choker-style necklace added a gothic edge to the look.

Supermodel Karolina was an angelic vision in a white lace dress with sheer panels. Bright red lipstick added a splash of colour to her outfit while slicked-back hair topped off the elegant look.
