Julia Roberts goes blonde for Hollywood return at Oscars
Julia Roberts has re-immersed herself into Hollywood after the tragic passing of her half-sister, and marked her return to the events circuit by gracing the 86th Academy Awards red carpet as a blonde.
The 46-year-old was all-smiles as she walked outside the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood and Highland Center in a black floor-length Givenchy gown with peplum cut and lace detail in her plunging neckline.
The usually-brunette screen star transformed her look with a light dye job but wrapped her famous locks in messy up-do. Emphasising her slim figure, Julia posed with her hands on her hips much of the time and accessorised with drop earrings and a chunky bracelet.

The August: Osage County nominee reportedly decided to join in on the biggest night in the Hollywood calendar at the last minute, after her sibling Nancy Motes was found lifeless on February 9.
The cause of Nancy's death was "deferred". It confirmed that she lived in Santa Monica, and her occupation was listed as "dog trainer". Julia's 80-year-old mother Betty has lung cancer and is said to have urged her daughter to appear as she was up for Best Supporting Actress.
She had previously missed the official Oscars luncheon as well as the Paris premiere of her film.

She wasn't the only lady to boast a new hue of locks, Margot Robbie gave fans a surprise when she arrived at the Oscars with newly-dyed brunette locks.
The Wolf Of Wall Street star showed off her new look earlier in the day on Twitter, when she posted a photograph of herself getting ready. "Never thought I'd say this.. I'm getting ready for the #oscars!!!!!" she captioned the snap of herself being pampered and preened.
